Bit Racer
I've been using an aquaclear 802 for over 5 years now, never missed a beat and very quiet and the current can also be reversed. You can also buy an attachment to convert it into a internal filter as well.
GTR73
Like everyone says, the Aquaclears are the way to go. I've had them for over 5 years and they're still going no probs, but they're extremely quiet that's for sure. Italian quality is miles in front of the Korean el cheapos. Aquaclears are a bit more on price, but Ben at Age of Aquariums (one of the Forum sponsors) has them cheap.
