mezzacam
Umm... Well i've had no problems with BN in my 3ft before, But i guess if you're planning on keeping really soft elegant water plants, then BN might not be the way to go, But if your just keeping everyday usual plants, then i think the BN should leave them alone. And yeah, Just make sure you feed them and they should do fine. Cameron.
mianos
I have common bristlenose in some of my planted tanks and I have not seen them do any harm to my plants. On the other hand, if you have a large enough tank (at least 3 foot) I recommend Crossocheilus siamensis (true siamese algae eater). In my experience they will eat more types of algae and keep your tanks spotless. My main tank has a few SAE, a gibby and a few snails but no BNs and I have never ever cleaned the inside of the window. I just came back from 2 months overseas and i still can't believe Alan never cleaned the inside of the glass as it's spotless.
