bimbo
i just gave one of my small tanks, a 1 foot, to my girlfriends sister and she wants to know what she can put in it. i used to keep a betta in it and then used it for raising fry.the only thing i could think of was a betta but is there anything else she could put in it?Cheers James
Callatya
possibly ghost shrimp would work, as would a trio of White clouds or possibly even killifish. question is, how much water does it hold? 6L? 8L? is it long or tall? makes a bit of a difference when juggling fish. Personally tho, i'd put a betta in it. far simpler for non fish people and oh so entertaining And lets face it, who whats zippy nothing fish when you can have a betta! estel
I have a 12L 1 foot tank with lots of java fern, and just yesterday bought a pair of sparkling gouramies for it - they're gorgeous, tiny, shy but active, and seem to be doing quite well in a tiny tank. A bit hard to find though, and they need lots of plants and hiding places. I adore them As for ghost shrimp... courtesy of google: http://www.petfish.net/ghost.htm

fishtraderlau
yeah, of my 1ft tanks i don't use for isolating female cichlids, hospital tank etc. i use them to keep and breed bettas in, that's about all i reckon, and they have the personality to match in such a small tank.
