Kasanga Vince
Hey Fozz, I keep Fronties, but not Lion Heads. However, my brother does without any problem. Although I've noticed the Lion Heads seem to take occupancy of the better hiding spots. When the Fronties wander in for a look they're generally stood up to by the Lion Heads without any violence and the Fronty will wander off again. I guess it depends which species you consider is worth granting the best opportunity for breeding. If your Fronties are breeding you probably want to give them priority, however, the two species seem compatable by my observation. Hope that helps, Regards, Vince
The cichlid Man
I have some lionheads in with my frontosa and i find that they actually keep the frontosa's active and on the move. I have never had any problems with the been together. But they are from different localities and water temperates but in Australia most fish keepers (Not All) maintain a lower pH level than what would be found in Tanganyika.
