Kribbie
You can get a few types of sand from most of the landscaping supplier. Please read these posts and you'll have an idea for how many sand you need and how much will cost you. http://ace.ipbhost.com/index.php?showtopic=6620&st=0&hl= http://ace.ipbhost.com/index.php?showtopic=8092&hl= http://ace.ipbhost.com/index.php?showtopic=5868&hl= http://ace.ipbhost.com/index.php?showtopic=5706&hl=
ViS
I recommend the lime sand if you are keeping africans. Mine love it and it buffers the water nicely. Most shops or landscape suppliers should have it. If you can't find it, talk to Wayne at Xtreme aquariums. He had it for $1.50 a kg from memory.
