Alex
I am yet to see the big deal with zebra plecos. I will admit they do look nice but their are so many other L numbers available that look just as nice or nicer (IMO of course) that hide FAR less and are just as likely to spawn, and are less then half the price, i dont see the big deal, other then the fact you can say WOW EVERYONE I HAVE ZEBRA PLECO'S, give me a royal anyday!Just my opinion. Boots n all
And everyone is allowed to have an opinion too.As for "Always hiding" l will have to disagree my friends are always out chasing one another all over the tank. And just for the record l like the L134 more than the L046 (Zeb). az1
Hi Boot n allIs your friend actually succesfully breeding them? If so can you get any details re the same as there is no way I would spend that sort of money and not be able to breed them.CheersAndreas
emp1re
My favourite catfish is Merodontotus tigrinus (Zebra shovelnose)
aurea23
I too would prefer L134 to L046 zebra pleco.... but i would not say no to a zebra...There is lots of nice plecos that can be spawned and bring the aquarist a nice challenge and plenty of nice surprisesMike aurea@optushome.com.au
Storm Boy
Apparently you have to aquire about 12 of these animals to get 1 breeding pair.

Storm Boy
Well I`m going off an estamation coming from an American who has had them in the past. Your lucky friend may have enough to have a pair already, if he is an Australian with 9 of these suckers he has heaps of luck already just to own them
