Luke Austin
Hey everyone, I'm probably going to get some sleepy cod soon, i was just wondering what and how to feed them. They'll be in with some other cichlids so i think i'll have to hand feed them (which isnt bad!). Any ideas? cheers, Luke.
Gargamel
i have mine in with oscars and have no problems feeding them, they eat bloodworms, cichlid pelets, etc. you dont have to heed them by hand. ive seen them eating flake. the biggest problem i had was with them fighting with each other. i had two for a while and i noticed one had the others head half way down its throat, and both fish were of equal size, and on more than one occasion. they get pretty big. marsbar
I have a large sleepy who eats everything including tankmates less than 3/4 his size! His favourite food though is live freshwater crays. He takes on a camouflage and stalks em. They have big mouths and big appetites! He also takes food from the surface like moths and crickets! You will have lots of fun they are great fish!
