Mudrat
I use shell grit as a subsrate in some of my tanks as a buffer without a problem.Mixing sand with it should be ok.
Ben
No Problems with it that I can see unless you use a gravel cleaner. Mixing sand with the shell grit will be fine but all the sand will over time end up on the bottom. When you use your gravel cleaner you will suck up all the waist as well as the sand.Is there a reason you want to mix the two?
benno
Cos i like the look of shell grit but i dont want it all to be shell grit. I want sand in there as well cos ive allready got the sand. And the shellgrit was just gonna act as a buffer but it looks nice as well ill try mixin the 2 and see what happens. thanx guys
