Flashgordon
I've been reading on a number of overseas web sites about power compact flourescent tubes. Seems they are much brighter than standard flouros and of a higher wattage length for length as well. Anybody know if these are available in Aus and if so who sells them. I have a 5 ft tank that is 2 ft deep and I'd really like to up the light intensity and this seems the easiest way to do it without going to metal halides. Johan767
Pwoer compacts are available and they do give a higher intensity than equal full flouros but if you have a tank of 5 foot and 2 foot deep it wouild be amore expensive set up than just getting two metal halide lights which off corallights are $398 each which isnt that bad seeing that its a 250 w light with 10000k bulb and the ballast. If you want compacts their sold at heaps of LFS u just gotta look for em. I know Aquamart sells them but the price will depend upon the length u want
