Dark Morelia
I have done some searching about it, and all the sites i've read say that it's a cheap, fish-safe and human-safe fish anaesthetic. Has anyone had any experience using it ? It could be an extremely useful tool for moving big fish. Cheers, Andy
keona
This is what they use for moving big Arowana they say it safe, but i haven't tried myself but it fully recommended by the aro keepers in Asia.
Willy Wombat
Its quite effective and works quickly. I have used it before. Smells a bit though. Make sure you dont OD the fish though as this will be fatal.
Dark Morelia
Thanks guys. Are there any fish known to have an adverse reaction to it ? It sounds like it might be the goods to me, even if you only use a very small dose rate to calm fish down when moving. It was actually seeing the oil reccomended on the RSPCA website as a humane method of fish euthanasia that prompted me to find out more about it. So i know it's good for killing them too Thanks for the warning though. Someone else might have read this and accidentally put their fish to sleep for a loooooong time More info on using it still welcome Cheers, Andy
