Sexing Brichardi

Meredith

Recommended Posts

males usually have longer fin filaments, and will eventually get deeper in the body and a slightly bigger hump head,

watch for breeding behaviour, fem lives in cave digs heaps, male guards defends the territory.

failing this you can vent them, plenty of articals about this on the net, but basically the males have two small openings oo, and fems have oO..

hope this helps

With some difficulty. Normally the females are smaller, have shorter fin filaments and a less developed head. In saying this I have one female I cannot distinguish from my male N. brichardi 'Kiku' and only know she's a girl after seeing her lay eggs.
