Joe really knows his stuff & always has some nice and unusual fish in stock. Further south, I recommend Summerland Aquariums, 143 Lindendale Rd, Wollongbar (just outside Lismore) (ph 02 6628 1333). Chris always has a huge range of fish, including cichlids and is a very keen & successful catfish breeder himself. On the Gold Coast itself, there aren't many shops between Tweed Heads & Nerang or Southport. There are two at Nerang and quite a few at Southport. A new shop is opening at Mermaid Waters soon but I don't know its name or opening date yet. If you're up here on 16 October, you might enjoy coming along to the Super Auction being staged by the Gold Coast Aquarium Society at Southport. You can contact me by email if you want further info about the auction. I'm at Palm Beach myself, about 15 minutes drive north of Coolangatta. We also have a forum up here in Queensland which is used by many of the local hobbyists on the Gold Coast & in Brisbane. Some LFs up here even give Ben a run for his money. Not bad for stores that stock fish too. Maybe you should ring some up with what you are after. On the southern side of Brissie there is Annerley Aquarium, Wetpetz & Beenleigh Aquarium. All have great fish amongst other goodies.
