catcher
Hi all, Why do the manufacturers say they cannot be horizontal? I've seen heaps on angles in stores and in pics on these forums. I want to put it in the sump instead of the display tank so it needs to be sideways but on it's clips to be fully submersed. Please enlighten me
Ash
You can't run them horizontal? Mine is (in my sump) & seems to be fine
agro77
I belive its due to the Thermostat being at the top, I has something to do with the way they (manufacture) determins tem. Cheers Anthony
stagfest
That's really strange, i've alwasy been told to mount mine horizontal or on an angle so that all the heat does not go to the top of the heater, shortening its life...what type of heater is it?? r.d.m
you can mount them any way you like as long as youve got good water movement around it
