fiona
I like the occasional earthworm as a meaty treat. The fish don't mind them either! Especially the Tilapia. I grow microworms (very teeny) for my fry, so you see, they do come in all sizes. I like harvesting mozzie larvae too. Sometimes I catch gambusia, and give them a strong salt bath, and quarantine them in a pond, then give those to the Tilapia. Although I haven't done it for a while. What are meal worm like to grow? I wouldn't mind trying them.
Other Ed
I keep earthworms and just started keeping microworms. I just ran a batch of bbs from 'artemia revolution'. I have also kept mozzie larve in the warmer months and also had some gambusia last year. I read that earthworms can help prevent 'hole in the head' in Oscars. HTH. Ed.. katanaone
meal worms are very easy to culture, look at " The Fish Food FAQ " in the articles section of the forum.
Cannula
Woodies: slowly breeding, being winter aren't too active. Green Water: for fry and my Artemia once a buy them. Mosquito Larvae: not enough around now, so I'll use the bucket as another green water culture. Artemia: using a 40L tank and hope to have the culture breeding, start it today or tomorrow.
