fishly
I am thinking of putting some congo tetras in a planted tank. What do you guys think? and will they eat the plants? Regards, Tony
Nornicle
they are excellent fish, generally suited to large tanks, as with planted tanks, you are most of the time trying to achieve a sense of 'space' in a little world very lively and beautiful
punie
Courtesy of http://www.aquabotanic.com/dutchsecrets.htm There's a pic of congos in a planted tank, they're gorgeous, but watch for your shrimps and smaller fishes! They do cost a bomb too! But they don't nip plants and are gorgeous!
fishly
Thanks punie for your info. By the way, that's a very good link. Regards, Tony
PHL
Congos look good in a planted tank, as they provide movement and colour. Mine have never bothered the plants. Get them smaller, and grow them; in good conditions, they grow pretty fast anyway. But get good specimens with broader body shape.
