graceless
Hey guys, I am currently in the process of cycling a second tank now (i now have more cycling than i have running ) after a lot of tragedy. The new one is running an internal filter (thanks to Age of Aquariums!), and i have a coupleof questions regarding this type of filter. Firstly, does it have to stand upright, or con i have it running horizontally, as in on it's side? Secondly, i would really appreciate any ideas/photos/etc of how people have hidden these filters in their tanks (if they have bothered). It's not exactly beautiful, so i guess if there's a good way to hide them i'm interested. Thanks as always, Grace
novafishy
hi grace, ive kept mine on the side before...and it doesnt seem to be affected in anyway... but i guess if u had it upright, u'd get the most out of it. maybe u could try hiding it behind a rock ? hehe
graceless
hey nova. it's huge! like a double chamber guy! so it would have to be a big rock. my main concern with "hiding" it is that it might impede the fuction and water flow?!?!?! maybe i'm totally wrong there. thanks, Grace
novafishy
ok having said that yours is a double chamber, i think it would be best upright, although i dont see how keeping it horizontal can affect the function and water flow. maybe at 45 degrees?? hhah use a big rock!! plants to hide it maybe?? i know!!
