Beardie Posted June 10, 2004 Share Posted June 10, 2004 Last night i saw my lionhead, only around 4-5cm had a very, very large stomach and body. I check water parameters and temp and everything was fine, all other fish healthy. I couldnt catch it cause its in my 6x2x2 tank and therefore just left it. Woke up this morning and it was dead on the bottom of the tank. Not too sure what happened? It had a very large stomach like a little ball, but no actual marking or anything so it wasnt attacked. Could it have been pregnant and something went wrong? Bloat maybe? Any ideas would be good/explanations would be great! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
JDHOGG Posted June 10, 2004 Share Posted June 10, 2004 I had a Lionhead that died recently as well. My Lionhead had a fat belly too but he was like that for ages. He was a real pig and ate heaps so I just put it down to him being a guts. I have since found out that Lionheads come from a flowing river environment that have a high oxygen content in the water. Due to my Frontosa getting bigger and I probably didn't have as much water flow as I should have, I put it down to not enough oxygen in the water. regards, Jdhogg Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
