calvas klein
Hi i have bought some polyester wading from spotlight for use in my filters and was wondering if it is safe to use as filter wool as it says it is treated with ultra fresh. which inhibits the growth of mould, mildew and other things and i was not sure how this might react with fish or other things, has anyone had any problems with this? very keen to know, thanks Brian
Mbuna
i wouldnt put it any where near an aquarium. mould and mildew resistant products usually contain some sort of chemical. so i wouldnt risk it

BaZ
I use "Hobby Fill" brand of toy and cushion stuffing, purchased from Spotlight. There's no mention of any kind of treatments on the bag, and I have been using it for around 12 mths with no ill-effects. MUCH cheaper than the options available at normal aquarium-type outlets And as for filter 'wading' I wouldn't recommend it, you're likely to get gunk between your toes
onlyme
I also buy it from Spotlight and have used it for a while now without difficulty. What I buy is just off a 5' roll. I think the girl who served me did call it "hobby wadding". Craig.
