KayB
Hello, I have kept fish for 20+ years but I have never dealt with Discus. At my place of work (high school), we have a 760 litre community tanks. Water quality is stable and within good ranges for pH and nitrates. No/very low ammonia and nitrites. The tank has kuhli loaches, clown loaches, corys, bristle nose, a couple of species of Amazon tetras and two Discus, one of whom has become a complete bully. It has clearly claimed the entire tank as its territory and the other has been harassed so much it’s now permanently hiding. What should we do? My fish keeping instinct is telling me to add more Discus to spread the hate around? Any other ideas or anything else you need to know? I have a photo of the set up, but am not tech savvy enough to work out how to attach it from iPhone
Link2Hell
Hi @KayB it can be difficult with a fish that becomes territorial to a point the only option is to sell or trade him for replacements without a location in your profile I can't recommend a shop that might take him
