Is the NSW Cichlid Society still operating?

I've tried to contact someone using their president@, secretary@ and membership@ emails but they all come back with could not be delivered errors.

Are they still operating or accepting members?

Thanks!

Hi, thank you. That was the site I was using, none of the contacts on the contact us pages seem to be working. Is there a better contact option for the secretary or membership officer?

Thanks!

Yeah just some common ones;

Iodotropheus sprengerae

labidochromis caeruleus

pseudotropheus sp. "acei"

pseudotropheus demasoni

I'm hoping to pick them all up at the one meeting with a bit of luck.

How do the auctions work? Do you win a lot then get up and pay and collect or pay and collect at the end? What time do regular auctions end?

I think I will be able to make the August meeting, unless something goes wrong with the tank!

Thanks

Hi dravyn

As lots come up to be auctioned, you bid on them and if you are the winning bidder

you then go up to the treasurer pay and collect your lot straight away .

All the fish you listed should normally be at a auction.... but we have no control over what will be there on the day

Regards

Kevin

Hi Dravyn

Hope to see you at the meeting this weekend!

Just noting that if you intend on coming in August that there is no mini-auction in August as we have the AGM and a mega members raffle.

Hi, Thanks for the info. Throws a spanner in my plans as my tank won't be ready by the July meeting. I'll just have to keep dosing with ammonia till the September meeting! At least the tank will be fully cycled and a bit by then.

I'll come down, sign up and introduce myself then!

What happens if you win fish you don't want or don't have a tank for? A perfect excuse to start a new tank I guess? Lol

The raffle also has dry goods and you get a choice of what left of the table so you should be able to find something you like.

Well I've decided to come down on Saturday to sign my life away and meet a few of you. I haven't been for a road trip since Covid started...
