Penthrox
Hi Guys,I have a 5x2x2 ft Tropheus tank I have just setup. I am currently cycling my tank and am after aditional rock for my tank.I have already spent close to $200 on Texas Holey Rock and was looking for a white/cream rock to put in the tank in the corners.I have decided that I am going to add a few pebbles around the tank to make some 'mini plant beds'.I live in Adelaide and have been to 2 different landscape supply stores and have only found moss rock and walling slate. These are not really in the colour I am seeking, however I have found another store that has the rock I am after (or close enough too) and it is called Carey Gulley Stone. My understanding is that it is a sandstone and that is bad for tanks right?Below is a pic of the stoneFailing that does anyone have any ideas on safe rocks I could use in a white colour? I am after quite large pieces around 50cm high. This is a photo of my tank currentlyThanks in advance!

FullyYellow
River rock is a good option but mind me asking how much you are paying for Texas holey?
rosco
I am not sure if sandstone is bad for tanks but it will be heavy. I like holey rock but it is expensive so I quite often use base rock which works well for African tanks. I would have thought that sandstone would be ph neutral and by the look of that sandstone may contain iron but I am not a rock guru.
