Foti
Hi just wondering as I have a 2.5 horse powered 50liter compresser lying aroundIf I put a ball valve to reduce air flow /presure to run about 10 sponge filters would the Cost be too much ? All tanks but 3 would be conected to a sump for main filtration but for a secondary in-tank filtration?3 of which that are only run off air sponge would be 2 ft tanks!Thank youFoti
Buccal
(if you are talking about a industrial compressor used for tool use)I've looked into it a while ago,,,,, in theory, a great idea,,, but, there are lethal contaminants like oil and many other nasties come out with and in the compressed air.Yes, a air filter system can be put in line,,, expense and maintenance just makes it all to messy/hard.Your just better of using a 60-120 watt diaphragm air pump on a timer set to 3 intervals within a 24 hour period,,,, if the air being used is a additional thing to what's already up and going. Link2Hell
Hi Fotias Buccal said you will have oil contamination issues with industrial compressorswhich is why they run an inline water trap that usually contains sludge from oil andcondensation you should also look at the ID plate for the wattage it usesbetter off getting a diaphragm, electro-magnetic or blower pump and as it's only a 2'tank you don't have any pressure problems from deep tanks so I would just use adiaphragm pump or
