benno
Hey fellow Cichlid lovers,After being out of the game for quite some time I have recently received a brand new fully set up 90cmx45x50 tank with heater and canister filter. Now I understand it is not the largest tank on earth so it will not allow me to keep my favourite type of cichlids which is the large South Americans so I have decided to set the tank up as a small South American community with tetras, corys, bristlenoses etc and im hoping for the stars of the show to possibly be a pair of Microgeophagus Ramirezi and a pair of Apistogramma Cacatuoides> My question for the experts is can this be done in a tank this size with territories set up for them up either end in the way of caves as well as plenty of driftwood and large plants in the middle to break sight lines? Feel free to tell me im dreaming as ive only ever kept rams before and that was sometime ago. If there are any combinations that may work feel free to suggest as id dearly love 2 pairs of something different but understand this may not be possible, btw im not looking for this to be a breeding tank either just a display mainly. Def looking forward to finishing my aquascaping and tank finishing cycling so I can get hold of some feisty little mini cichlids lol, will be sure to chuck some pics up once near completion. Thanking in adavance and its great to be back.Benno

benno
Thanks for the reply Yanke much appreciated mate, another idea I had was a pair of gold or standard rams and a pair of neon blue rams. Want to see if the ram/caca combo will work first though as I def want the variety as I adore those little cockatoos as much if not more than rams just unsure if it will work yet.
