Guys my display tank has run into probs.

The other day a fish had died on my seemed odd that i rarely lose fish, Then the other night i noticed a fish that was larger, now he seems to have bloated around the stomach and his eyes seem to be twice as large and popping out. But he seemed to go for his food but didnt eat.

2 more fish r now breathing very heavy and have allot of white stringy poo coming out and off there food. Also hiding in the corner of the tank and not swimming much.

I was told it was hex was hex i thought maybe bloat, not to sure.

In the process of getting Flagyl tabs.

Any thoughts?

Fish: African Cichlids

Yes. Separate the fish. Dose the hospital tank with Metro(Flagyl) or Dimetro. There is a 50/50 chance.

You could also try mixing the meds with the food and add garlic to the food to encourage the fish to eat.

Just to be safe you should also feed that to the rest of the fishes.

My jalo reef seems to be allot better now, after 1st day of dosing still got a couple of fish which r 50/50.

Guys does this seem right, the vet gave me these instructions to dose tank:

metro 200mg tabs.

3 days meds worth.

Day 1: 51 tabs crushed into powder and into tank.

Day 2: 1/4 water change and 51 tabs crushed into powder and into tank.

Day 3: repeat day 2.

Does that seem correct?
