Pharmlou
Assuming you are putting some type of African in here, probably Mbuna. Do yourself a favour and get rid of that thick layer of gravel and replace it with sand of about an inch to an inch and a half max. ! 2-3mm coral sand looks great and buffers the water. Pool filter sand mixed with coral sand is cheaper and gives a slightly darker look too. It doesn't matter how many gravel vacuums you do, eventually the crap that settles in the gravel will raise your nitrates and you'll wonder why weekly water changes are only making a little difference. I learnt the hard way and have changed all my tanks to sand and the maintenance is much easier.
hoody
Yes they will be mbuna. So you think ditch the crushed coral ill together and go a finer sand type coral? I spose it would be easier to see the waste that way as well?I plan on getting half a dozen fingerlings to start will and add more over a few months.
