SH1LLDOG
Hey Guys,Just wanted to ask for some help choosing tank mates for my aggressive Cobalt Blue?My tank cycling is coming along nicely and I am starting to see my ammonia decrease from 0.25 to zero and my nitrites increasing to 0.25, just need to wait for the nitrates to begin to show and the nitrites to drop off to zero. What tank mates would you recommend for my Cobalt Blue who has already killed a placid Electric Yellow I had in there with him?I have a 55g tank with loads of Texas holey etc. in there for them. What are some other aggressive African Cichlid species that could go in there with him and how many for a 55g tank? Also I am looking to get a couple of algae eaters in there to help clean it up, can Bristlenose Catfish acclimatise to the high PH for Africans?Thank you in advance Mark
danielsplakat
hey mark, the more fish the better! your yellow was killed because it was the only fish in there and became you cobalt blues b***! haha
SH1LLDOG
Hey mate,Haha yeah I know pretty rookie move just having those 2 in there! I am just worried about dumping all my fish in at once and having the water parameters 'spike' and possibly harming all my fish.. I was hoping I could maybe put around 4 more Africans and a couple of BN for a few weeks to slowly help build the biological filter before adding all my fish? How many in total would you recommend for my tank? As I know most of them will grow to around 15cm and I know my tank is borderline too small for africans..
Jason130497
Total africans i would recommend for your tank is like 25 fish :DThe more the better to reduce aggresionAlso a bristlenose could live in the high Ph
