bakes
Has anyone here ever brought them/used them? I have just brought 4 , looking at ways of installing them without permantly siliconing them to the back panel.Reasons being A. So I can change design , and B. they were very expensive -want to able to use in other tank in future.I am thinking about siliconing a small piece of right angle glass to each piece, then using magnets to hold them to glass. If anyone has used would be interested in their experience and also curious if magnets have any negative import on aquarium water? malawi sand diver
I'm interested to see how they go, they look awesome from the pictures I have seen. Perhaps they can just sit in the tank without silicon? I did that with my universal rocks background when it was in and it allowed me to get behind and clean it, or move It around. bakes
These are the four pieces I chose, the detail in them is amazing, the detail in the texture, cracks is top notch, definitely the best artificial product I have seen.
malawi sand diver
They are going to look great in the tank, a good choice too cause they are slim not taking up too much room. Very realistic. Do those modules cover the whole area, or will you put a flat piece in aswell?
bakes
Well I also got 2.4 metres worth of the slimline panelsIts my 8 footer project next year,2.4m is pretty big so will probably need to get another 3-4 modules to get the correct effect but we will see how it looks with the 4I like the look of this tank with a combination of background and modules,as opposed to modules on a tank with a black backing-which is how most examples are shown
malawi sand diver
I assume you have seen this tank with the same modules? Has to be one of the best tanks I've seen.http://www.cichlid-forum.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=175666&sid=891481c9db2515d526431cb383691f82

bakes
I couldn't wait to put them in the next tank ,so put them in my 5 footer for now,not siliconed in,held in place using the glass bulkhead and a few carefarefully placed rocks, should look better in next tank spaced out a bit more
malawi sand diver
They look great in the water, I like the way you placed the ones to the top right and middle.
bakes
That piece on the right is 80cm,so was the only way to fit in other than lying it down.going to make a few glass l type shapes and silicon them to the back and use magnets to place them better
