So due to algae issues I decided it was time get a Bn for the tang tank, and I've always wanted a peppermint. Have I made a mistake here? I just assumed that they would be as hardy/adaptable as a common Bn, is this true? I got the guy at my Lfs to test the tank water they came from and Ph was over 8 and Gh was 150ppm, I thought he would transition fine. He only went in today, what do you all think?

Peppermints can handle higher Ph but do prefer a lower Ph. I do know someone that has kept and bred them at both a high and low Ph. I have only kept them at a low Ph. Peppers are not really good algae waters bn are far better at munching algae
