malawi sand diver
Hi MarkNice shot. Is it the dragon blood from Asia (line bred on orange base) or the one from Germany (called the firefish) on a blue base? I think its mostly the "dragon bloods" here.A lot of people have different opinons on these. I have a psycho one at home, that I believe is a result of selective breeding - it is always super agressive and displays what I think is "hybrid vigor". The most agressive fish I've kept and has been banned from the main tank. Then some other people I have spoken to say they are not that agressive, maybe its just my fish.Regards, Rob
markfnq
Hi rob, These are the german ones imported through grant, they look a little redder under natural light .I had some others sent up from brisbane through smiths aquarium (also german bred) and they have a little blueish tinge in the cheek.they seem to be a different variant ,but also a nice fish. cheers mark

markfnq
hi, managed to get a pic of the two different variants side by side .the one above is a german import through grant.the one below i had sent up from smiths in brisbane also out of german blood . As you can see there is a few differenttraits. I prefer the one above ,better body lines and shape ,colour is more solid and i like the speckled flank . regards mark
