kasm
I've been using Hydor inline heater for 4,5 years with no problems, it is connected to the return pump from the sump to the 5x2x2, I find it struggles to heat up the tank in winter so I put an extra heater in the sump to keep temp at 25-26. It is reliable.
J1mmy
hey guys do you think a hydor inline would be suitable for a 4x2x2 year round?
bwah
they work fine, i made a few diy a whilst back which worked great with the extra capacity compared to hydor's.. alot cheaper too and can use any heateronly downside, if pump fails tank has no heater.. bakes
Not sure if it's possible on an fx5 -fx5 has 1" corrugated tubing, hydor has 5/8 port sizes. Could make some kind of reducer I guess but what about restricting the flow intake / outlet depending on what side it was to go on?
