andrew.vid Posted August 7, 2011 Share Posted August 7, 2011 hi all, i have a otter point cichlid and on the underside of the mouth it has some black marks, around the gill area here is a photo, not really clear as it is underneath but where the dark marks are thats where it is but a bit more spreaded then that, does anyone know what it is? klw Posted August 17, 2011 Share Posted August 17, 2011 hi there,if the fish is behaving normally and this is the only thing different its most likely just his pigment.a lot of electric yellow males have this 'dirty' appearance when they are showing dominance on the face usually.not a desirable colouration by any means but harmless for the fish.
