Adam_J
Hi good people , i was given a rather large 3 ft tank today , almost a 3 ft cube... and i was thinking of turning it into an African cichlid tank... any ideas would be good on what would be happy in this tank. most of my fish are americans and i'd like to have 1 African tank. not too worried about effort in looking after them.... the harder the fish to look after , the better. since i have my tax sitting in the bank... i may as well convert some of it to swimming in my tank cheers Adam. mattrox
I'd be tempted to do a mbuna tank with that size. Great footprint for rock work. Some of the smaller varieties maybe. Eg salousi, red top ndumbi, Lab. 'nkhali', kingsizei & rusties would make a good mix of colour. I'm sure there is enough room for cover if there is a bit of chasing. Adam_J
this has nothing to do with this topic , but i decided not to start another thread... went and purchased 3 ,7 bar frontosa today.... i took them home , and realised i'd picked a 6 bar with the other 2 ,7 bars ... they were given to me for $50. each since i purchase so much.... so now i'm stuck with a 6 bar lol. whytri
i think get a sand base with small rock work and keep some shelldwellers at the bottom and some cyps, heaps of peronality. although those 3 frontosa kinda contradict this setup lol, but something to think about.
