Krib with hole in the head disease

my krib has developed what seems to be hithd. it seems to be quite bad too...

so i will do a large waterchange in the morning followed by increasing salinity levels. will this be enough? is there a medication i could buy?

mate, i have never had to deal with it although i am sure others on here will be able to offer some good advice and will do so in due course

as i starter though i would suggest that you do your large water change now and not tomorrow

and once completed - you can't beat the power of google :yes:

HITH is a paracitic infection, Metronidazole is the prefered medication

Im not sure everyone would agree with that statement.Hexamita does play a role but HLLD is precipitated by a number of other factors that need to be addressed otherwise it will come back.Water quality is the number one factor.More water changes. Nutrition may also play a role but more in marine fish

Having said that metronidazol does work well and allows the pitting to heal
