secco_239
Hi all, i was just thinking about how i could save money on fish food. Has any one ever tried chopping steak into tiny little pieces and feeding it to africans? I might give it a go un less someone warns me otherwise. Will it have a bad affect on them? Please give me your suggestions. From Mike
E4G13M4N
Steak is not something i would not feed to Africans, as fish cant digest animal protein it builds up around the liver.. Just causes a slow death IMO. Also with meat prices these days i wouldnt think it would be a cheap alternative..
Ducksta
Seafood prices are lower than they have been for a long while at present. That would be a much safer option IMO. Are the africans you keep vegetarian though? Because I would stick to a vege based flake if thats the case.

Anita_ozfish
WOW Do cichlids eat gnu in Africa?? Mike, I always reckon it's better to feed fish what they would naturally eat in the wild - it's what their bodies are designed for. Depending on the type of fish you have and it's diet, feed it accordingly. HERE is a basic recipe that I use on most of my fish - it covers a broad range of their requirements all in one hit.
