gianniz
Is Electric yellow possibility of a host for cuckoos? also are there any other smaller cichlids that can be a host? I don't think my cuckoos are ready (as they are only 2 1/2 years old).
Josh
I wouldn't go with yellows, their mouths are too small IMO

parkesg
Hi, Try Ps. acei, electric blues etc. - generally use Haps not mbuna. Victorians are also meant to be good, but have never used these myself. Fish that are prolific breeders. Cheers Grant

Chilli Powder
If you are serious about wanting to breed cuckoos Elec Yellows are not a good host fish! Their mouths are small and the kittens get to a decent size in the mouth while eating the other eggs. Like Grant said, you need to use a large Hap or mbuna and you will need to keep two colonies of fish and swap them from time to time to maximise the success thought I posted on this thread but it seems to have disappeared or i forgot to press the add reply?
