killiguy
Quite a combination!! It might be better to select based on your local water chemistry,if hard alkaline rift lakes or central americans if soft Sydney water then Amazonian or West Africans, youve got 3 continents covered currently. I would ditch the discus and/or the chromides: The discus like very warm soft acid water and arent as adaptible as the others, they really dont make great community fish unless you put them with cardinal tetras etc that like the very warm soft acid water and dont bully the discus. The chromides like hard alkaline water and even brackish water, not to the taste of discus. Lionheads and severums are quite adaptable but wouldnt like the water chromides like. Ive found Val not the easiest plant to grow Id have to say(like most plants for me).It did well in my hard alkaline water tanks and needed alot of light and regular fertiliser otherise it just fizzled out. There are probably easier plants,my only successes are with Java fern java moss and water sprite which seem to grow anywhere. But III leave that to the plant experts
