Quarkz
If this is not allowed in this section please let me know and I will remove immediately. My partner and I recently moved to the mining town Blackwater and had to leave our tank and Cichlids back on the Sunshine Coast. Unfortunately the people that are looking after them no-longer wish to do it so we will be forced to sell all our gear off. The house we are in at Blackwater means the tank would have to be outside so it's not really possible to move the tank/fish up here unfortunately. The tank is a 5 footer with 2 built in fluros in the alloy hood. The sale will include 2 Eheim canister filters, powerhead, slate/gravel & various chemicals/food. The fish that we currently have are listed below. These sizes are simply an approximation as the tank isn't here with us so I can't be positive. The images are NOT recent. They are probably 9-12 months ago. The video is within the past 2-3 months. If anyone can give us an approx. of what the setup is worth with or without the fish or you are interested in taking it off our hands please PM me. The tank is located on the Sunshine Coast, QLD. Thankyou 1 x Flameback (5 inches) 1 x Compressicep (8 inches) 1 x Mono Sebea (7 inches) 1 x Electric Blue (6 inches) 1 x Blue Peacock (5 inches) 2 x Cobwe Afra (4 inches) - M/M 2 x 6 Bar Frontosa (5.5 inches) - M/F 1 x Red Zebra (5 inches 1 x Crimson Tide (5 inches) 1 x Maingano (4.5 inches) 1 x Venustus (8 inches) 1 x Elongatus Chewere (5 inches) 1 x Red Empress (5 inches) 2 x Sucker Fish VIDEO: http://vimeo.com/10342499
Priscacara
I havent bought second hand before but have looked at pricing quite a few times each time I wanted another tank. I dont know how much your setup cost you but you will probably be very dissapointed at resale values. The closest I've seen locally didnt have the nice hood and stand like yours but the plain open style and the owners were asking $600. I'm hoping I'm way off the mark with yours being that low as it is a beautifull setup so please wait on some expert advice from others, ebay may be the way to go rather than a local paper sale ? Andrew
My word - that is beautiful!
mathobes
Mate if I could afford to make an offer right now I would. Beautiful. to put it in perspective for you I saw a setup similar to yours 2nd hand (minus the fish and slate) for $650. 2nd hand values can be low, It must hurt to be getting rid of it! Citypainter
Just give the fish away and store the tank. Once when I had to leave Sydney I offered a local school the fish tank and they used it for a couple of years and when I moved back they let me pick it up. Worked well for everybody

intern1
There are some nice fish that would substitute in most peoples breeding colonies nicely, you may want to try the QLD forums as well
fongyfong
There are some nice fish that would substitute in most peoples breeding colonies nicely, you may want to try the QLD forums as well Thats a beautiful tank looks nice i rekon you could possibly get around 850- plus, but thats if you were to seperate everything and be patient my advice seperate everything tank cabinet and hood lights gravel and tank and slate i say around 500 for it the canisters depending on what kind of eheims they are maybe around 100 each the fish maybe at least around 150 bucks all up but if sold as a whole package i rekon around 600 max as people who buy all want bargains and stuff I previosly had a 6x2 with sump latex background hood and cabinet extra canister and lights and about 40 fish i wanted about 900 for the whole thing but then i decided to seperate it took my time but eventually sold and was happy with the price that i sold them for as i ended up getting more then the 900 when i seperated it My advice put it up for a price that ur happy with and if tyou think its worth it then sell it if not then dont
