ITEvolution
Hi, I am thinking of putting the following 2 tang shelly species in the same tank. Can Lamprologus ocellatus and Neolamprologus multifasciatus be kept in the same tank with out fear of Cross Breeding or attacking each other? They will be in a 3' x 2.5' x 2 tank with separate shelly teritories? Any help would be much appreicated. Cheers Adam
Chilli Powder
If they grew up together, yes they should be ok as they will tolerate one another. Also if you provide plenty of shells and rocks blocking line of sight. However, if you try to put say an established pair or trio of occies with multis, I'm afraid that your multis might be in a bit of danger. Multifasciatus can also be pretty agro though. How many fish of each species will you have. When introducing the fish into the tank, release the occies into one side of the tank and the multis in the other. Put them in at the same time as no territories would have been established. Shellies are the best. Have fun mate. cheers
