siklid
Hi Guys, As the title states my Seachem SAFE has an unusually bad smell to it the last couple of weeks, Its quite a few years old though (~3), Its also stored in an airlock container. Could it be due to its age? Heat over the last few weeks? Has anyone else had any instances of this? It is not the typical smell associated with it normally also. Also, is SAFE just pure sodium thiosulfate? I can get my hands on this stuff pretty cheap so if anyone is interested let me know... Cheers, Daniel

Cheers, Daniel This question has come up in the past and the answers given (by others) was that it is still okay. I opened my smaller decanted container yesterday and it nearly took the skin off my eyes I have used if for many years without issue so this backs its safe use up. Regarding the sodium thiosulfate question. Not as far as I know, and I doubt it too.
