tranced
hi all, thought i would share some photos of my tangs thanks for looking. and can anyone tell me, if they think my julies are supposed to have that mottled look? or are they just poorly bred? most regani ive seen have nice clean lines... tranced
i had a suspicion these julies were not the best, however when i bought them i had no idea what regani should look like *cry* just so im certain, u mean cos the lines are 'bleeding' into each other? they are a bit skinny in that pic, i have fattened them up alot now, but the lines bother me... rosco
Most regani I have seen are nice and straight but hey if you like them it is all good. You have some really nice coloured goldies there . I had some fanatasic WC's with that colour but lost them due to aggression . cheers rosco
dobbin4
If you have a look on the net, which you may have. The lines / marking are not great but thats not to say that they should be a complete straight line either.Looking at the photo they look a lot smaller than the leps that are showing good colour and look young fish. So guessing you regani are still young, you dont say size or age ? , not much colour as well. As rosco says your Gold's are very nice . And i can see fry as well. I would not worry about the marking not being the best as they should get better as they grow if I'm guessing right they are young.Looks like you saved them as the 2nd pic fish has a sunken belly, so you should be happy that they are being looked after better now, good on you. tranced
thanks there is one regani that is like a big fat submarine but its a sly dog and wont let me photograph it. in fact it was beating up the other two females in the tank, this is why they have the skinnyitis, from stress and not being allowed to eat. my tanks bigger tho so they can have their own spot without getting bashed all day, and they can get to the food as well... maybe ill hang onto them for a while and see if they improve
dobbin4
Yer, In 2nd photo the one in front covered by the goldie looks fater.Do the goldies fry live or do you remove them.If i was you i would not want to lose them the perants look very good.Do you try rubing ( between your fingers )some food down the end of the male to keep him happy then do the same at other end for females? cant be at both ends at once. tranced
yeah i have about 10 fry from the occies so far,in a small fry tank that im raising up separate from the colony. i was thinking it maybe better to just put the julies into that smaller tank, then the fry will probably survive alright in the main tank... if only i had another couple of tanks hahahah i will try get some shots of the fry growing up i think, and post them here later...
