cobaltcraig
Hi All Can anyone tell me if they are keeping and breeding pepermints in malawi water conditions thanks
AMK
They are being bred in waters with ph ranging from 6.2 - 7.6 at the moment. So they aren't all that sensitive to ph I'd say.
chorrylan
hi, I'd be more worried abotu their ability to compete for food against malawians than about the water conditions. I have my peppermints in "mild" malawian water conditions (pH hovers around 8.2, using crushed marble as substrate but no other salts or buffers). They've spawned three times so far and seem relatively unconcerned about the water conditions. But... there aren't many other fish in the tank with them and I feed late in the evening.
