D6C1
I have used them for years. Go for it. Pretty safe!
Mattnshez
All of the above will be fine. I use agg line and geberit in my tanks as i find the fish prefer the darker pipes. HTH Matt

BJJ-Master
I wouldn't think making a complex structure along the lines of the MS screen saver would be a great Idea , you may end up with fish lost in there for hours or even stuck permanntly - I have a bowl on it's side behind/supporting my rockwork , just last night I went to bed ~around 10 and noticed my dopey copadichromis chrysonotus was stuck in the bowl it took him until midnight to get out ... all he had to do was turn around . If you insist though transparent pipe would be advisable ... as far as making simple cave systems , the pipes you mention are much of muchness , so whatever floats your boat
genetik_defekt
I think more of a problem with complex pipe work would be water becoming stagnant.
Wrangers
I only use pipes in my nursery and fry tanks as they're easy to remove - but IMHO there are far more natural decorations for display tanks...
dobbin4
Long as u use the right silicone sealant its fine as said. Trouble with transparent pipe is if the fish are breeding then its a place for any fish to hid from any agro male. Most pipes are put in to give a hiding spot or 3 Hard to do.
