Priscacara
Hi , a bit of paranoia here maybe but would like to confirm that live brine shrimp once a week or two weeks as a treat for my chichlids would be ok. I know they dont get a high protein type of diet, mine get nls pellets and wanted to give them a change now and then. Fish include cobwe, electric yellow, peacocks, P.saulosi, P. hongi, lionhead. Absolutely and they'll love it - I wouldn't feed it to mbuna everyday (nb. I'm paranoid about bloat) but once a week is fine

CThompson
Better/as good and cheaper is to grow your own wrigglers They will also stay alive in fresh water too - not that they will stay uneaten long enough for that to matter. BTW "meaty" foods such as this are fine to feed everyday to Africans if you want.
mcloughlin2
It is fine to feed frozen brineshrimp many times a week to cichlids. They will love it, often grow faster and display better colours.
Priscacara
Tx for the replies , I'll get some frozen and some live next time I'm in town. I can picture the fish going chasing the live shrimp, should be fun for all of us :-)

I can picture the fish going chasing the live shrimp, should be fun for all of us :-) Just not the newly hatched ones, for us at least, they're too small for our Malawi Cichlids to be interested in (the Endler's Livebearers do like to chase them around however).
