tootie
Due to my over enthusiasm (or otherwise called cichlid addiction). I have probably too many colonies. ATM I have Lab. Mbamba, E. Yellows, Pseudotropheus aceii (both ngara and tanzania types - in different tanks), flavus, Red Empress, Aulonocara Ngara Flametail and Kadangos. On top of that I have other young fish that I am growing up to eventually breed. Anyway, I feel so attached with them all but know I need to try and sell some of them. I am having problems making my mind up?! I realise that it can be hard to sell the fry of some fish and was wondering what thoughts other cichlid-addicts had? Based on this it probably is best to keep the colonies where I know I can get rid of the fry without much problem. What are your suggestions? Thanks in advance, Tootie
mcloughlin2
It is always easier to sell coloured fry to a LFS so Electric yellows, Mbamba and Aceii always sell well, however the Red empress, Kandangas and Aulonocara look very nice as adults and hence sell well on forums to breeders. So basically determine what distribution channels you will use to sell your fish. If it were me I'd sell the Electric yellows and Red empress. One of each and both of which are quite easy to get hold of while the others tend to be abit harder to track down.
