Finn
Well we came home tonight after being away an night to: Tropheops Chitimba bay holding Afra Cobwe x 2 holding Flavus - trying Dolphin - trying That is just in one tank 2nd tank we found The whole pot my husband cut a door in full of Brasiliensis eggs - all stuck on the walls! So tomorrow is going to be busy rearranging tanks to get everyone into new homes! Husband has worked out we will have 13 tanks up and running shortly!! Good thing we have a shed - currently has 1 4ft with Afra fry and 1 4ft with Flavus fry which are about to be moved into other tanks so we can set up the 2 4fts as breeding tanks for the Chitimba Bay Golds and the other with the Dolphins. Things are going crazy in this household!!

Finn
Our Afra colony is 1 male and 3 females - we took one out last week cause she is ready to spit and now we have the other two holding!! Plus we have a tank full of juvies! The Afra's are in our community tank which has: 3 x Dolphin's 2 x Maingano 6 x Chitimba Bay Golds 2 x Flavus 4 x Venustus 1 x Pleco 1 x Cuckoo Once we get things sorted in the shed the Afra's will be going into their own tank. fry_2_buy
Wait till you get 3 electric yellows holding, 4 cobue afras holding in one 4 ft tank thats full to the brink of shelters... Then not only will you have a real breeding frenzy like I did but then you'll see the pain of trying to catch them, which if not caught and put safe, will lead to one overcrowded tank. Finn
I got the Afra's about a month or so ago. They are around the 5-6cm mark and since we have had them they have breed. We got one female that was holding and she has since breed again plus the 2 other females. Now have all 3 females holding - one ready to spit and the other 2 just at the inital stage. If I can get some pics will post.

Finn
Well the breeding continues................................. We have: Fry: Afra cobwe Flavus Chitimba Bay Gold Rainbow Cichlid Maingano And now as of tonight Blue Dolphin's Plus we have bristlenose that have bred in our 3ft tank - no idea how we are going to get the fry out of there - they are in the top of a rock cave feature we have that the Kribs use the bottom of! After losing fish due to water issues we now have plenty of breeding!! Once we move the tanks inside the office we might get the Brasiliensis breeding again............. so none stop in this household
