Priscacara
Hi, as some may have read some of my posts I got my shell dweller tank cycled and added in my fish about 2 or 3 weeks back and all are doing fine. They are a bit more skittish than I expected but are fun to watch. The runt of the bunch always stays out to see if its time for a feed and gets in the first bite so I expect it to grow faster and eventually stop being the runt as it will get more food than the rest. I WAS told by the lfs what type they are but in my excitement forgot to take note of it so thought as well as showing off the new guys I'd ask if anyone knew what species they are. The quality of the pics isnt the best, snapshots from video I took of them, I'm thinking N. multifasiatus ? Cheers, Les.
brucem
I don't they are multi's. They look more like a Hecqui or Meelii to me. Bruce

Priscacara
Had my first loss yesterday, everything was fine throughout the day then about 7 when I went to turn the tank light out I saw a body in the bottem near the filter. The rest all seem fine but so did the dead one so keeping an eye on things. Could have been a fight that got out of hand but since they only stay clear of their shells when I'm not there its hard to be sure. Wondering if it might be better to return them in a week (to make sure there is nothing actually wrong) and have a try at something else in the tank. It sits on the bench in the kitchen and gets a fair bit of traffic in the area.
