glo
Hi, I grew up a number of lionheads / humphead cichilds and 2 have paired off and have been breeding well. I kept 2 other males and 2 other females however, these fish show no sign of pairing off. I have heard that sometimes that it is difficult to get these fish to pair off. Does anyone else have any advice or experience? Thanks Graham

glo
I have the breeding pair in a 2ft tank. The 4 others (2 male and 2 female) are in a 4 x 20 x 20 with a few altifrons but were previously in a 2ft tank with a few dithers. The 4 are happy, eating and growing well. All the tanks are on the same system and I have had these fish for well over a year and since they were 2cm long. They were from different batches when I got them but all about a similar size (and similar age?). The breeding pair have had 3 spawns now, each a couple of months apart with the last 2 being big spawns of 60 - 70+ fish. All fish are happy and healthy, I can't get the 4 remaining fish to pair off.
