rosco
The ones at wetearth are cheaper and IMO much better as there is no friction fit as with these ones. You can also use a nut and tail instead of slip reducer underneath the outlet and much better to work with in long run. I have replaced all the bulkheads like those ones with more industrail looking but heaps better ones from wetearth. the last time I got those ones they were around $25 for the full kit on-line. I recently got 32mm ones and they came to around $10 each with fitting and filter. You ahve to buy an extra adapter to screw in the top (for the life of me I cannot remember what they are called) but still heaps cheaper cheers rosco
edas
You can get them from Aquamail in Port Macquarie. Call them on 02 6583 3422 and they can post to you. I have just bought some of these, they are made by Pentair. There are expensive though and the fittings Rosco mentioned will do the same thing. A matter of choice I guess.... I can also recommend Wet Earth for all plumbing & fittings. Cheers Nick Hi does anyone know where i can get these bulkhead fitting and what are they called? azzah
A big vote for wetearth here. They are very cheap and delivery is quick. I received my order 48hrs after placing my oder. The link you posted is very similar to the bulkheads on wetearth http://www.wetearth.com.au/Threaded-Nyglas...lkhead-Fittings Below is an order I placed last week. As you can see they are extremely cheap. The first item is the bulkheads I ordered $9.44 each, bunnings sell the exact same ones but for $20 each. The ball valves at the bottom sell for around $25 each at bunnings yet through wetearth I got 3 for $17. If I had bought all of the items on the invoice at bunnings it would have cost me close to $300 but was $135 including delivery through wetearth. Click on the thumbnail to view the invoice. I'm quessing 32mm is the inside diameter of these fitting.
batche81
Also that invoice that azzah posted saved me a lot of time. Thanks mate. I didn't know there was so many different styles of fitting and adaptors.
azzah
Also that invoice that azzah posted saved me a lot of time. Thanks mate. I didn't know there was so many different styles of fitting and adaptors. No problems, the only reason I bought so many adaptors was because my tanks are drilled on the bottom so I needed to be able to connect pvc pipe to the inside to the raise where the water drained from the tank or the water would have drained from the bottom. Also holes in my tanks are 40mm and that seems to fit these 32mm bulkheads fine.

I can not find it... Thanks
GundamCichlid
Btw, I just bought a used setup. the pipe is very dirty and I am thinking of changing the plumbing. The out bulkhead is using 25mm that attached to the bulkhead hole at the back. I am thinking cutting of the PVC pipe and getting a bigger pipe that attached to the thread of the bulk. Here is the picture of the back tank Can anyone teach me how to measure the bulkhead to get the correct fitting for the new PVC pipe? and it should be easier for me to order from the wetearth website. Attached is a draft for the current and my plan. I also would like to do the same for the inflow bulk head which is smaller. it used 20mm PVC pipe at this moment pardon me batche81 if I ask more question in your thread. Thanks
pjmowens
increasing the size of the drain isnt really going to achieve much in my opinion. upsizing this pipe will not increase flowrate as your bulkhead is already 25mm. if you put 32mm over the thread it will still only drain at the rate of 25mm. hth.
