GundamCichlid
Hi Ray, Thanks for sharing the picture. Please you give me a little bit detail about the dimension or type that I should order when I went shopping. After seen your set up, I believe I will go for Dexion but as I dont have any experience about this racking how should I know the rack that I order is able to handle 3K kg easy. Btw, do you bolt the rack into your wall to avoid it collapse/fall down? One more thing, should I go to the 2FT wide eventhough my tank is 18 inch wide, just in case I want to upgrade in the future. Do you think the middle support can handle the same weight as well? Thanks a lot Mate! PS: pardon me for any inconvenience cause.
genetik_defekt
Dexion is rated per shelf. You can bolt the feet down to the floor but if its only nessesary depending on your total height. If it is say under 12 feet to the top of you highest tank then i would not worry about it. You must understand that this is commercial quality and used for much heavier things then a 1 tonne fish tank.
Josh
Dexion is limited to teh sizes you can buy it in and may not suit your specific needs. It is good racking for what i heard about it. Timber racks can be built to suit your exact needs Josh
raycam01_au
Dexion comes in many different sizes, so limitations is not an issue unless u have a very odd size, width can also be moved to suit your needs, timber racks will rot over time and warp, so not always a good option, Dexion is god and i mean GOD lol its sweet racking,,,,,

YAL05T
Have a look on ebay too if your are after dexion. I got mine very cheap there from a guy at Norah Head who even does Sydney deliveries.
Old Dave
Dexion is limited to teh sizes you can buy it in and may not suit your specific needs. It is good racking for what i heard about it. Timber racks can be built to suit your exact needs Josh Just remember that in pallet racking it is the pallet that distributes the weight agross the beams. You might like to consider cross section supports (like in wooden stands) to avoid stressing the glass. The racks in the pics look great! I like racks with access from both sides. JMO, HTH.
