YAL05T
These guys were dropped off at a mates shop by the delivery guy from another shop who was given them by a breeder but lost the details. (Sounds like Jerry I know). Any ideas as to what they are would be tops. Grant has had one idea but I like to throw these things open to the whole community. http://www.aceforums.com.au/index.php?act=...si&img=1303 http://www.aceforums.com.au/index.php?act=...si&img=1304 Currently these monsters are pushing 1 -1.5 inches, massive I know Cheers, Brett
Michiel
My guess Othalmotilapia Ventralis
parkesg
They didn't have any dorsal coluration when I was in the shop, but you had just done a water change. Michiel, compared to your ventralis fry I saw, I would say no. They were a similiar size to yours, but just did not have the ventralis shape. The mouth is also straight with no down-turn at all. I was thinking Copadichromis virginalis or similar? Lee Miller kept and breed these so he may be able to help.? Interested to see when they get bigger... Lee Miller
G'day, 99% sure they're not Copadichromis virginalis 'Gold' (Malawian). But there's quite a few other Copadichromis out there. They look like juveniles and could develop into anything. They look more like Tangs to me. Cheers, Lee.

matt
Im no expert but they remind me of the few times ive seen furcifer kicking around. matt
Michiel
The eyes are very large so suggest a featherfin. There are however some large eyed malawi's as Grant pointed out. The pectorals remind me of featherfins.
AzFish
I'd also say furcifer/foai, they look alot like my kabogo fry minus the copper tinge in the fins.
YAL05T
Well the Gent who breeds these guys FINALLY turned up again and guess what folks....Grant was the closest they are Copadichromis virginalis "firecrest". At the moment there are 14 of them growing up so fingers crossed for a decent sex ratio.
